Black Stone

The 5711A is the steel Nautilus this commission is built on. The project grew out of an expedition. Its owner, whom the workshop names only as Mr. J.S.A., encountered the Black Stone glacier in Alaska and asked for a watch that held both the strength and the fragility of that moment. The spinel stands for permanence, the sapphire dial for the glacier's double nature, the green Super-LumiNova for what survives. Artisans de Genève states that it is not connected to Patek Philippe in any way. The work here was commissioned by the watch's owner, for private use.
