Diver [AIR]
At under 52 g on the strap the Diver [AIR] is far lighter than either of Ulysse Nardin's recent Divers, and by the brand's account the lightest mechanical dive watch ever made. The lineage below shows the scale of the difference. The Diver 44 of 2019 weighed 120.5 g, and the Diver X Skeleton of 2021 weighed 105.8 g. The watch came out of the UN Centre for Innovation, guided by Paul-David Nardin's words from 1876, "If it's possible, it's done. If it's impossible, it will be done." Three materials, named by source, account for the weight. The middle case is 90% recycled titanium, the side parts are Nylo-Foil made of recycled fishing net and upcycled carbon fibre, and the bezel is CarbonFoil recovered from IMOCA racing boats.
